Purge Dive

Do not leave the dock without
When packing your gear bag, your list probably includes the normal and emergency equipment, mask, fins, regulator and one of those kits with one or a few extra rings, neoprene patches and regulator mouthpieces. Here are some things that can throw in his bag of equipment that will make the dive more comfortable, safe and secure.
Citrus drinks
When the surface, the first thing I want to do is get the taste of the ocean of my mouth. However much they appreciate the smell of the sea and salt air, I'm so excited to have him on my tongue. Water is refreshing, but I think I can drink a few liters of bottled water, and even the taste of the sea remains in the mouth.
After experimenting with dozens of candidates for drinks, I think Five Alive is hands down the best cure for oceanmouth. Other citrus juices are good, but none is as effective as Five Alive. The best were those which contain acids, such as pineapple and grapefruit juices.
The juice serves another purpose: rehydration. It seems counterintuitive that spending an hour submerged in water can cause dehydration, but true. The air in their tanks is very dry – necessarily, since the humidity in a tank rust inside. Just breathing in that dry air for an hour in silence get dehydrated. Drink when you return the boat and can avoid the symptoms of dehydration, such as headache, nausea and dizziness.
Long-rashgard or cotton long sleeve shirt
Did you know that chemicals in sunscreen are toxic to those who live reef marine life? You need to protect your skin from the harmful effects of UV radiation, but do not want to smear the SPF before immersion. Cover the old way with a cotton shirt or a long sleeve Rashguard.
Laminate Table Graph diving
Do you rely on your team? Go back and review their training certification and how to calculate residual nitrogen using tables. Computers are great tools but it is for each diver to remember how to manage their levels of nitrogen, no paraphernalia.
A "dry bag" A dry bag, not necessarily be make-believe – Packed with low cost with closing flaps are available in most camping stores or marine supply. They need not be waterproof 100 feet – and to leave them in the boat in his gear bag. My favorite is a bright yellow bag with a rubber flap that folds over three times and gets in himself for a seal airtight easy. Many divers on a budget using a variety of disposable freezer bags with zip.
In my dry bag, I: Fabrics – A necessity. After purging my mask a few times, my breasts get rebellious. Swabs of cotton – a bit of gentle care to get the water my ears. A photocopy of my identification and passport – where Band-Aids – because my fingers slip boats Everything that was in his pockets – Before putting on my suit, my dry bag (by virtue of its ability to seal) is a good place to store a cell phone, camera, wallet, jewelry, car keys, etc. Tell someone where you are going and with whom.
Make this a habit, so you should not worry when an emergency arises.
First, make sure the dive operator knows who you are, where you are staying, and who to contact in case of an emergency. If you are injured during a dive, Dive operators could coat directly to the nearest hospital, medical clinic or a decompression chamber. If medical personnel can not determine its identity can complicate their care.
Secondly, tell someone you are not diving with you where it goes. That could be others in his party, the hotel concierge, or a phone call to a relative back home. Tell them the name of the dive shop, destination, departure time and estimated return time for your trip diving. If you know, include the name of the ship, its captain and divemaster. If you are traveling alone or diving in a group, write the information down and leave it in the hotel office. If your hotel is near a popular diving spot, which will be used for such things.
